Shenghong Petrochemial Group sets up Academician Advisory Committee

From 18^th to 19^th, April, in respond to Shenghong Petrochemical invitation, 12 academicians of Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE) and Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) including Jin Yong, Wuu Weizu, Fei Weiyang, etc. gathered together in Lianyungang, sett ing up Lianyungang Shenghong Petrochemical Group Academician Advisory Committee, to offer advice and suggestions for the company’s and Lianyungang’s petrochemical industry development. Yang Xingshi, Lianyungang municipal Party secretary, accompanied the academicians of CAS and CAE to survey Shenghong Petrochemical Industry Park. Wu Haiyun, the Deputy Mayor of Lianyungang, attended the Academician Advisory Committee establishment ceremony, Miao Hangen, the Chairman and President of Shenghong Petrochemical Group, awarded the letter of appointment to the academicians. Shenghong Petrochemical leaders like Bai Wei, Wang Hua, Zhang Diankui, Sun Kairen, etc. took part in the activity.

On the afternoon of 18^th, accompanied by Yang Xingshi, Lianyungang Municipal Party Secretary, the academicians of CAS and CAE surveyed the Shenghong Petrochemical Industry Park on site, they visited liquid chemicals wharf and Sailboat Petrochemical, Bai Wei, the Vice President of Shenghong Petrochemical Group and the General Manager of Sailboat, and Sun Renkai, the General Manager of Shenghong Petrochemical (Lianyungang) Harbor Storage Co., Ltd., reported the company condition respectively.

On the morning of 19^th, the Academician Advisory Committee establishment ceremony held in Mountain Huaguo Hotel. Miao Hangen, the Chairman and President of Shenghong Group, made a speech. He warmly welcomed the 12 academicians of CAS and CAE and all hornored guests. The chairman Miao Hangen pointed, it is the 25^th anniversary of Shenghong Group, the achievements achieved in the 25 years were inseparable with keeping a foothold in industry, concentrating on ploughing the industry, sparing no effort to strive for innovation and creation.

The chairman Miao Hangen said, in the 25 years development, science and technology is the base of power and prosperity, innovation is the source of progress, scientific and technologyical innovation is the key power for enterprise’s  constantly moving forward. The company hoped that the academicians could direct the development of Shenghong Petrochemical Group, offer precious advice for its development, and help the company to realize modrn scientific and technological innovation with their own special scientific knowledge, unceasingly condensate “Shenghong Intelligence”. After the establishment of the Advisory Committee, he hoped that every academician could offer Shenghong Petrochemical Group about the most forefront skill and scientific and technological achievements, and the company would invite the academicians timingly to provide guidance to company’s technical reform, scientific and technological progress, and provide consultantions to company’s future development strategy. He believed that with the support of every academician and the leaders of Lianyungang city and Xuwei new district, Shenghong Petrochemical would certainly become the international classic, national leading, innovation guided international petrochemical enterpirse.

In the following free talk, the academicians agreed that, as the first settled petrochemical enterprise in Xuwei new district, Shenghong Petrochemical Group has to seize the newest science and technology trends of petrochemicial, guiding the forefront science and technology, also it needs to rely on the support of high-end science and technology, firmly control the commanding heights of technology and industry. At the same time, the academicians expressed that they would exploit their advantages in specialty, offer Shenghong Petrochemical Group the most forefront skill and scientifical achievements, provide guidance to company’s technical reform, scientific and technological progress, help Shenghong Petrochmical Group to become the most advanced technologicla progress, the most excellent equipment and facilities,the most strict environmental protection standard world-class petrochemical industry base.
