In the afternoon of July 19th, Lu Weisheng, Deputy Director of the Industrial Coordination Division of the National Development and Reform Commission, surveyed Shenghong Petrochemical Group about the construction and development situation of its projects, accompanied by Wang Jiapei, member of Lianyungang Standing Committee, the Executive Vice Mayor of Lianyungang and some other leaders. Miao Hangen, chairman and CEO of Shenghong Petrochemical Group, warmly received the research group. Shenghong Petrochemical Group leaders Bai Wei, Wang Hua, Liu Bin, Sun Renkai and some others took part in the activity.



In the operation area of the liquid chemical wharf of Shenghong Petrochemical Group, a ship from Korea with a tonnage of over 10,000 tons that was loaded with raw materials was moored at the berth unloading. The huge loading arm was continuously transporting the liquid chemical raw materials that filled the cabin to the rear storage & transportable tank farm. The scene was busy and orderly.

Chairman Miao Hangen introduced the construction and operation situation of port storage & transportation project of Shenghong Petrochemical Group. He said,”Relying on logistics advantage formed through the use of self-built port for storage and transportation, the company offers a dependable guarantee of raw material supply and product output of each project, which can help us expand open business and enhance our ability to withstand market risks.”

On the construction site of Shenghong’s refining-chemical integrated project, dozens of excavators and other large equipment were seizing the limited time for construction, carrying out the site backfilling and leveling project actively. It is known that the finished backfilling area has reached about 3250000 square meters and that the backfill has reached about 4400000 cubic meters. As the foundation work of the project construction, this engineering has been basically finished. Once the project is approved, the construction can be started. Chairman Miao Hangen introduced some conditions of the project including its development, scale, technical features and etc.. He expressed that Shenghong Petrochemical Group had a relentless pursuit of science and technology innovation and that through establishing advisory committee consisting of academicians and increasing investment in science and technology, the company would certainly build the refining-chemical integrated project into a demonstration project of modern petrochemical industry with an internationally-advanced technical level and a project adhering to the idea of co-development between the project development and the green environmental protection.



The research group led by Lu Weisheng also went on a field trip to the central control room of Jiangsu Sailboat Petrochemical Co. Ltd., learning about the sale and development situation of the company products in detail. Deputy Director Lu appreciated the achievements that Shenghong Petrochemical Group had got in building internationally-advanced petrochemical industry base in response to the national planning. He expressed that the National Development and Reform Commission and relevant departments of the provinces and cities should enhance the consciousness of service and take the initiative to provide convenient conditions for the development of enterprises, helping boost the leapfrog development of enterprises.
