In the afternoon of September 6th, 2017, Wang Jiapei, Member of Lianyungang Standing Committee and the Executive Vice Mayor of Lianyungang, came to port storage and transportation company limited to carry out production safety check, accompanied by Shi Haibo,  secretary of the Party Working Committee and director of the management committee of the demonstration area of east/middle/west inter-regional cooperation, Qiao Shouwen, deputy director of the management committee of the demonstration area of east/middle/west inter-regional cooperation and Yu Qingguo, director of the Work Safety Administration of the demonstration area of east/middle/west inter-regional cooperation.



The group led by Wang Jiapei entered into the second stage production site in the tank area of Rong Tai Chemical Warehousing Company Limited in the rain, and communicated some situations of the company including operation situation of the storage tanks, implementation of the “Three-Simultaneity” compliance and safety production responsibility system, management of special operations, management of foreign construction, monitoring and control of major hazard installations, investigation & handling of hidden dangers, and etc. with Sun Renkai, general manager of Port Storage and Transportation Company Limited.

At the scene where the truck loading & unloading platforms were placed, Wang Jiapei showed the concern for the safe operation of loading & unloading trucks. He pointed out that the fire and blast accident happening on June 5th in Shandong Linyi city was a profound lesson. He also pointed out that the tank area in Rong Tai Chemical Warehousing Company Limited was a major hazard because of the large variety of goods needing loading and the big flow of loading & unloading trucks and that the company should therefore take a profound lesson from the accident in Jinyu Petrochemical Company Limited and learn to draw inferences about other cases from one instance, teasing out the weak links in the operation of loading & unloading trucks and working out practical control measures to prevent the occurrence of similar accidents.

Sun Renkai expressed that Port Storage and Transportation Company Limited would further strengthen the security management of tank trucks to enhance risk prevention and control and that to prevent the security risks in the action of getting on and getting off tank trucks carried out by the tank truck drivers(supercargoes) , the company installed 16 lifeline fall protection systems and conducted on-site operational security training for the staffs and tank truck drivers(supercargoes) to ensure the effective control of each link of the tank trucks for loading & unloading. Sun Renkai also expressed that the company would take “Second Level Safety Standardization” and the effective operation of CDI-T and ISO9001 systems as starting points to actively promote and implement the work of safety production management, and that the company would continuously implement the work of production safety overhaul and safety hazard investigation and management steadily according to the spirit of the city and district security commissions’ notices of production safety overhaul, warmly welcoming the 19th CPC National Congress in a safe atmosphere.
