This morning (May 3), the special live program of CCTV "Looking at China along Expressways" entered Lianyungang. The integrated channel CCTV1 and the news channel CCTV13 provided the same live show, focusing on the port-vicinity industry development in the east starting point of Lianyungang-Khorgos Expressway.

A number of national treasures such as the Long March 5 carrier rocket, China's homemade large aircraft C919 and photovoltaic panels appeared in the live broadcast, and behind them was the construction support of the Lianyungang petrochemical industry base. Relying on the great pattern of sea, land and water transportation of Lianyungang, the green petrochemical industry base of Shenghong shows obvious radiation effects with import and export channels open up to the sea and directly connected to the international market. Inwardly, it keeps a foothold in East China and extends to 11 provinces and cities in the hinterland of central and western China, with unique industrial synergy. Shenghong Petrochemical has also built one 300,000t crude oil terminal, six 50,000t liquid chemical terminals and a storage tank field covering more than 5 million m³. The great international and domestic transportation pattern and the supporting facilities of the Shenghong petrochemical industry base are connected seamlessly, bringing about significant location advantages.

Strong independent innovation and close adherence to the national strategic orientation

The national "14th Five Year Plan" of China proposed to drive the layout optimization and structural adjustment of the petrochemical industry and other raw material industries, accelerate the transformation and upgrading of enterprises in key industries such as the chemical industry, and guide and support the technological innovation of private enterprises. Aiming at the international cutting edge technology and the needs of major national industries, Shenghong has continued to enhance its independent research and development and achieved import substitution and the international leading level in a batch of new technology products. The EVA photovoltaic material products of Shenghong shown in the live broadcast have made major breakthroughs in the improvement of key indicators such as crystalization point and melt flow index, and passed the appraisal of scientific and technological achievements conducted by CPCIF. With the international leading technological level, they have effectively broken the foreign monopoly and realized import substitution, making Shenghong a core supplier in China.

Significant advantages in scale and wide range of upstream and downstream collaboration

Acrylonitrile, which appeared in the live broadcast, is also a competitive product of Sailboat Petrochemical under Shenhong Group. As an important raw material for the development of China's new material industry, it is mainly used to produce carbon fiber, ABS resin/plastic, nitrile rubber and acrylic, etc. Its downstream products are widely applied in aerospace, automobile mechanics, electronic equipment, environmental protection, pharmaceuticals and pesticides and other fields of the national economy.

At present, Sailboat Petrochemical has an acrylonitrile production capacity of up to 520,000 t/y.
