When Governor of Jiangsu Province Wu Zhenglong inspected and investigated Lianyungang City on June 23, he inspected the site of the Shenghong Refining and Chemical Integration Project, one of the major projects of Jiangsu Province, and learnt the actual progress of the project. He emphasized that we should promote both the pandemic prevention and the economic and social development according to an overall plan, firmly promote safe development, green development and high quality development, cultivate new opportunities, make a new beginning, develop a new pattern, strive to carry out the pandemic prevention well and greatly promote the economic and social development, and complete this year’s main development tasks.

In December 2018, the CPC Committee of Jiangsu Province and the People’s Government of Jiangsu Province held a commencement ceremony for the local major projects in Xuwei New Area, Wujiang City, Jiangsu Province, and declared the beginning of a world class petrochemical industry base. Now at the construction site, the project construction has got into full swing and all people here seem very busy working. At the Shenghong Refining and Chemical Integration Project site, Chairman of Shenghong Petrochemical Group Miao Hangen reported on the progress of the project construction. He said that all the activities of the Shenghong Refining and Chemical Integration Project were underway and their progresses were fast with the care and support of the CPC Committee of Jiangsu Province and the People’s Government of Jiangsu Province, Shenghong Group would strive to complete the technically-leading, safe and environment-friendly modern refining and chemical integration project as soon as possible aiming to build the project into a world-class model project and make more contributions to the economic and social high-quality development of Jiangsu Province.

After Governor Wu Zhenglong inspected the project construction progress at the project site, he hoped that the enterprise would strengthen the cooperation between the industrial chain and the supply chain, promote both the security and the production, enhance the security level in essence, solve the bottleneck problems, spare no effort to build the world’s best industrial chain, and work harder to build a new development pattern with the domestic circulation being the main circulation and the domestic and international circulations promoting each other. Governor Wu Zhenglong emphasized that we must double our effort to hedge against possible risks and challenges, stabilize our economic life, implement the six tasks assigned by the state, and strive to complete the main objectives and tasks for the year.
